When it comes to wireless options, there are many that claim to be the best. However, what would you consider the best? Does it all boil down to price? Are the bells and whistles and other frills help make you decision? Or is it all about the service? Verizon Wireless is just one of many service providers in the cell phone industry that claims to provide the best cell coverage of anyone else in the business.
Other Cellular Choices There are other cellular choices like Cingular Wireless (now the new AT&T), Sprint Wireless (now merged with Nextel) and even the new Cricket Wireless. How do these wireless cellular companies compare with Verizon Wireless? You can pretty much guarantee that they have the similar bells and whistles like wireless headphones for hands-free talking in the car or anywhere else. It seems that with the merging of Cingular Wireless and AT&T and also that of Sprint Wireless with Nextel, the wireless race is fairly tight. However, many people are still touting that Verizon Wireless has them all beat, at least in coverage. Some people claimed that they still got cell service twenty miles while offshore fishing! Cricket Wireless is also stealing some customers away because of their great rates and value of service they receive. Other Wireless Options When it comes to the wireless phenomenon, there is plenty to think about. If you travel for business, chances are that you will need broadband access no matter where you are. You can get wireless broadband service added to your cell phone contract for an additional fee. Verizon Wireless as well as other companies offers this feature. If you have a laptop, PDA or Blackberry wired for wireless internet service, you can pretty much call yourself a traveling office. Because service is paramount to cell companies, you can pretty much guarantee that you will find wireless internet with any of them. Just be advised that unless you have the latest in wireless security on your equipment, you stand the chance of your wireless traffic being intercepted by hackers. When it comes to wireless, Verizon Wireless leads the pack on the broadband and in coverage. However, that won’t last for long because of the merging of Cingular and AT&T and Sprint and Nextel. Those merges mean a wider scope of service. As for other types of wireless products, you probably have wireless speakers in your home which avoids the clutter of wires everywhere. If you have several computers in the home and want to hook them all into your internet broadband access, you will likely have to purchase a wireless router. Wireless routers allow all the computers to use the same broadband connection. |
